Charles Luther Kimball

Charles “Bud” Luther Kimball, age 88 of China Grove, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021. Born September 18, 1933 in China Grove, he was the son of the late Kermit Luther Kimball and Lillian Freeze Kimball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Holshouser Kimball.

Bud proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. After his service, he spent his career as a brick mason and later as a homebuilder. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, hunter and fisherman.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Perry Kimball (Jackie) and Mark Kimball (Sara). He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Brian Kimball, Lisa Blackmon and Jamie Kimball along with his great-grandchildren, Austin, Autumn, Ethan and Conner.

Visitation for Bud will be on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 7:00 – 8:30pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 2:00pm at Lutheran Chapel Church, 135 Lutheran Chapel Drive, China Grove. Burial with Full Military Honors will immediately follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested you kindly remember Bud with memorials in his honor to Lutheran Chapel Church, P.O. Box 152, China Grove, NC 28023.
