Hazel Dean Jones

Mrs. Hazel Deane Dawson Jones, 91 of China Grove passed away on Monday December 26, 2106 at CMC Northeast Medical Center. Born on February 13, 1925 in Clermont, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Page Gates and Elizabeth Rickers Dawson. Mrs. Jones retired from California State Polytechnic University as a medical transcriptionist. She was a member of First Baptist Church in China Grove, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Roy Jones. Also preceding her are her sons Danny and Dennis Jones as well as brothers Joseph and Dale Dawson. Those left to cherish her memory is her son Stephen Ferree (Charlotte) of San Jose, California and daughters, Michelle Sampson (Fred) of Mooresville, NC, Jeanne Galliher (Ron) of Baltimore, Ohio, Linda Brennan (Tom) and Denise Ribbick (Gery).

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday January 3, 2017 at First Baptist Church in China Grove, NC at 10:30 am with Rev. Steve Wilson, minister. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.linnhoneycuttfuneralhome.com.
