

James Albert Killian, Sr, 57, passed away Monday morning, December 31, 2012, at the Salisbury VA Medical Center. Born January 30, 1955 in Lincolnton, NC, he was a son of the late Marvin Killian, Sr. and Margie G. Farmer Killian. Jimmy had honorably served his country as a proud member of the US Marines. A certified ASE mechanic, who could fix anything, he had worked for various car dealerships and also with Shell Oil Company, as a refinery inspector. A hard working man, Jimmy was also a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, George E. Cleary. Family members include his wife, Bonnie Killian, his sons, Eric J. Cleary (Yvette) and James Killian Jr. (Julie); his daughter, Jamie M. Fuzette; sisters, Linda Lombardo (Joseph), Rhonda Barton (Howard) and Eva Bachenheimer (Don); brothers, Marvin Killian (Cindy Borden) and Alan Killian (Sandra), grandchildren, Eric Matlock, Aaron Cleary, Evan Bass, Cooper and Amelia Killian and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be at held at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at the Salisbury National Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the US Marine and the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard.
