Jesse Bryan Jones

Jesse Bryan Jones, age 74 went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Born February 25, 1947 in Craven County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late John Bryan Jones and Mildred Morris Jones. In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Jones.

Jesse worked for most of his life in the textile profession, having worked 1969 through 1973 at Cannon Mills and he then went on to work in Georgia and New Hampshire before retiring from National Textiles in China Grove. Jesse was a longtime member of Living Water Church of God, having served as trustee, Sunday School teacher, clerk, working with the senior group and was the choir leader. He loved playing his guitar, singing and listening to gospel music. Christmas time was very important to him, as was his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Linda Bright Jones, of the home and his daughter, Tamara Shultz (Bryant). He also leaves behind his brothers; Kenneth Eugene Jones, John Duane Jones and Milton Gray Jones, as well as sisters; Connie Gale Coleman and Tami Lou Jones. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Brittany Meismer, Brenna Meadows, Dustin Snow, Curtis Lisk, Katelyn Shultz and Kyle Shultz, along with his great-grandchildren, Braiden, Carsun, Jeselyn, Kiyler, Averie, Jaycee, Kayden, Aaiden, Ravyn, Ava, Payton and Aurora.

Memorial Service for Jesse will be on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 3:00 at Living Water Church of God officiated by Pastor Wade Easom and Kevin Corl, assisting. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested you kindly remember Jesse with memorials in his honor to either Church of God Children's Home, 3845 Orphanage Circle, Concord, NC 28027 or Living Water Church of God, 166 N. Little Texas Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
