Kathleen Weaver Patterson

Mrs. Mary Kathleen Weaver Patterson , 88 passed away on Saturday morning, December 12, 2015. Born on October 10, 1927, Kathleen was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Oney Kimball Weaver. She was a 1947 graduate of Landis High School. She married Hubert Lee Patterson on May 16, 1948. They were married over 65 years. Mr Patterson passed away on April 9, 2014. Mrs. Patterson was a homemaker for her husband and three daughters. A farmers wife, Kathleen worked alongside her husband, Hubert in the family business, Patterson Brothers. She was active in her community and her church as her health allowed. Kathleen enjoyed visiting the elderly and shut ins, a practice that she continued from her parents. She was active in the local home demonstration club. A lifelong member of Lutheran Chapel Church, she was a member of the WELCA, auxiallary.

Mrs. Patterson loved her husband and family and enjoyed reading, sewing, feeding the birds and flowers. Preceding her in death was her brother, Herman Weaver. Family members left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Kathy Oliver (David) of Gastonia, Denise Littlefield (Larry) of Statesville and Linda Haigler (Tom) of Welcome. Her grandchildren Matthew Oliver of Asheville, Christopher Littlefield (Kellie) of South Charleston, W.Va. and Carrie Hillman (Corey) of Jamestown, and her great grandson, Cooper Littlefield. The family is deeply appreciative of the caregivers, Natasha, Mary, Latoya and Phyllis for their excellent care and love that they showed.

Visitation will be on Monday from 6:00 til 8:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral on Tuesday at 11:00 at Lutheran Chapel Church in China Grove with Rev.
