

Mr. Maynard Monroe Waller 67 of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Kiser Hospice House. Born on February 28, 1948 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Lacy Greene and Clara Belle Knight Waller. Educated at South Rowan High School, he was a member of Woodleaf Baptist Church. Mr. Waller served his country in the US Army, serving in Vietnam. Earlier in life Maynard worked at Linn Mills, later for Landis Police Department and Salisbury Police Department and then the V.A. Medical Center as a nurses assistant and security officer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Nancy Louise Kime Waller on March 8, 1998. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jonathan Waller and Jason Waller (Mitzi), both of Concord and daughter Alaine Miller (Jeff) of Harrisburg. Also surviving him is his sister Lacy Williams (Michael) of Kannapolis and nephew Lee Williams of Statesville and grandchildren; Kaylee, Ashleigh, Natalie, Whitley, Josh, Makenzie, Makayla, Spencer, Sutton and Weston.
A memorial service will be on Monday at 1:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with Revs. Chris Williams and John Castell, ministers. Inurnment will follow at the National Cemetery in Salisbury at 2:00.
