Mrs. Nina Louise Swicegood, 73 of China Grove passed away on Saturday October 6, 2012 at CMC Northeast Medical Center. Born on August 19, 1939 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Greer and Thelma Spears Barbee. Mrs. attended China Grove High School and was a member of Lutheran Chapel Church. She worked for Cannon Mills Swink Plant in the weave room. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Eugene Swicegood. Those left to cherish her memories are her son Dale McClamrock and wife Pam of Calhoun, Ga., daughters Angie Austin and husband John of Concord and Crystal Blackwelder and husband Steve of Kannapolis. Mrs. Swicegood is also survived by her stepchildren, Patt Heard, Jimmy Swicegood, Randall Swicegood and Judy Phillips. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be on Monday from 6:30-8:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral on Tuesday at 11:00 also at the funeral home with Rev. John Curran, minister. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
