

Richard attended Landis schools and graduated from Landis High in 1960. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, completing his basic training at Parris Island, South Carolina, and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and in Okinawa, Japan.
After his military service, Richard worked for the Concord Postal Service for 25 years before retiring. He was married to his loving wife, Diane Hayman Beaver, for 26 years.
Richard is survived by his wife, Diane Beaver; sons, Marty Beaver (Leigh Ann), Mark Haymon, and Michael Hayman; daughter, Dorothy Haymon; grandsons, Darin Beaver (Destiny) and Jacob Haymon; and great-grandson, Braydon Beaver. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Hollar, Anita Staley, and Phyllis Robinson; brother, Tony Beaver (Sherri); sister-in-law, Clara Beaver; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Inez Blackwelder Beaver; father, Otis Pless Beaver; and brother, Kyle Ray Beaver.
Richard was a private person with a big heart, and he cherished his family above all else. He had a passion for NASCAR, motorcycles, football, and animals. His beloved dog, Gracie Ann Beaver, was like a child to him and loved him dearly.
