Mrs. Sandra “Sandy” Lowe Driver, age 70 of Landis, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in the arms of her loving husband, John. Born October 28, 1951 in Cabarrus County, Sandy was the daughter of Hazel Rowland Lowe and the late James Winton Lowe. She was of Baptist faith.
After school, Sandy spent her career touching lives everywhere she worked. Whether at the family business, Lowe’s Plaza Market or at what was then First Charter Bank, where everyone who came through the drive-thru was greeted with her infectious smile and radiant personality. She just made a difference in everything she did and with everyone she met. Sandy was a loving, kind and supportive person who had the gift of making you feel as if you were the only one in the room. Her presence was a big as life and she made you feel the same way, no matter what the circumstances. She truly “lit up” each and every room she walked into.
Sandy was an accomplished pianist, loved music of all kinds and in her earlier years, was the organist at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church. She had a love for Willie Nelson and Elvis, loved going to see Motown shows and the symphony, her old 1971 Mach I Mustang and traveling ANYWHERE with the love of her life, John.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband and the love of her life, John Driver and her daughters, Tammy Talbert (Sean), Erica Kekaualua (Ira), Elizabeth Vaughan (Dickson), Emily Driver, Erin Driver (Jeffrey Crump) and Erica Driver. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jackson Hurst, Charles Vaughan, Thomas Vaughan, Rayna Vaughan, Eudora Boulware, Kaleb Crump and Keegan Crump, along with her brothers, Gary Lowe (Shane) and Mick Lowe (Regina).
A Celebration of Life – Gathering of Friends for Sandy will be on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove.
