I've been a close friend of Thelma's son, Steve, for many years... & both Thelma & her late husband, Fred, treated me like a 2nd son in so many ways.

Steve and Susan, I was so sorry to read about your mom. I don't know if you remember me or not. I went to school with Steve, my mother,Betty Christy, worked with your mom. We used to come visit with your family when I was younger. I haven't seen Steve since our days at South Rowan.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Our years have flown by so quickly. The beautiful voices of Thelma, Gynell, and Dot with Aunt Ruby playing are deep in my heart and mind...now all of you are in heaven and with the rest of our family must be having a great time again. Thank you for being an example for me as a young man... I am now 76 and soon will join you. Will miss you as the others for a little while longer buy Heaven sounds better all the time.

She truely was a fine person. So loving, thoughful, kind & a joy to be around. I will miss her as I have missed Fred. Both are together again. May God bless.
