Mrs. Virginia Beatrice “Ginny” Clardy 69 of 2154 Mt. Hope Church Rd., Salisbury, passed away on Thursday August 4, 2011 at CMC Northeast. Born on October 27, 1941 in Falmouth, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Joel and Elizabeth Baker Enos. After her childhood, her family moved to Chicago where she was an avid fan of the Cubs , enjoyed playing bingo and gardening. Her work life consisted of a career at Wal Mart Stores.
Surviving her is her husband, James Roy Clardy, to whom she was married for 39 years, son James T. Clardy and wife Christine of Concord, daughter Laura Lee Clardy of Salisbury, Tammy Goettl, Connie Alexander, Ronald Ralls and Harold Ralls Jr. Step daughter Desiree Jemison and stepson Robert Clardy. Sisters, Linda Bevagua, Betty Vickers and Barbara Silva, brothers, Joel, Leroy and Billy Enos. Twelve grandchildren survive her as well as one great grandchild.
A visitation will be on Monday from 1:00-2:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove, with Memorial Service at 2:00 also at the funeral home.
