Willard Bost Overcash

.Mr. Willard Bost Overcash, 88 of Salisbury passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Novant Rowan Health Medical Center. Born on September 18, 1928 in Rowan County , he was the son of the late Luther Monroe and Emma Bost Overcash. Educated at the Parks School, he loved to work in his garden and drive his tractor. Mr. Overcash worked for many years in Cannon Mills. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 69 years, Beatrice Brady Overcash and daughter Alesia Overcash Lewis (Butch) of Salisbury. In addition he is survived by his grandchildren Brad Boling and fiance’ Melinda of Kannapolis and Sydney and Collin Lewis both of Salisbury. Also surviving him are his brothers Wayne Overcash (Linda) of Whiteville and Curtis Overcash (Betty) of Salisbury and sister Carolyn Allman of Salisbury.

Visitation will be on Friday from 1:00 til 2:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home with funeral to follow at 2:00 also at the funeral home with burial at Carolina Memorial Park. The family would like to extend their thanks to Ashly and the staff of Novant CCU for the compassion and care given to Mr. Overcash during his illness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kannapolis Church of God, 2211 W. A. St. Kannapolis, NC 28081.
