Jaqueline earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Hampton University, Hampton Virginia and a Master’s degree from Columbia University, New York, New York.
Her professional careers were that of an educator (High School English) and a medical social worker for Los Angeles County.
Jacqueline was a resident of Chino Hills for 32 years. She was very active in her community. The “songbird” as she was affectionately known as, was a member of the St. Paul the Apostle and St. Margaret Mary Church choirs. She also sang with the city of Chino Senior Choir and the Torrance Community Choral Group. While singing with the Torrance group she toured South America and Europe.
In addition to singing, she loved flowers and gardening. She was a member of the Los Angeles Arboretum and Botanical Garden Epiphyllum Club.
Jacqueline leaves behind her loving husband of 63 years Easie, daughter Yzette (Glen), 2 grandchildren, Malisa, Aaron and 2 great grandchildren, Ericka and Darius. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her oldest daughter Vanya.
Jacqueline will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery on May 8th. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
