Hello my darling brother.  You are missed and loved so very much.  I’m sure you are enjoying Heaven with Mom, my son Michael, and our brother Mike.  Can you hear my “Good mornings” everyday?  I hope so.  You were our family “Entertainer”, our mentor, our best friend, who always offered up a positive note about life.  I’m sorry yours was so brief. I remember his laughter, his zest for life.  His singing. He is truly missed,

I have great memories with David.   I always enjoyed seeing him perform because he was a natural showman.  There were countless events - wedding receptions, New Year's eve parties and Karoake shows at many places.  We were kindred spirits through our love of the piano keyboard.  I always loved being invited to the house in Plano and meeting new people since he had a bazillion friends!   You were an inspiration to me David and I'll always remember the good times!

Jess was always a dynamic host.  Always had a good time with him.  Lots of laughs, hugs and made you feel comfortable.  He will be forever in my heart.  

I met David back in 1988 when I was a temp at UPS. We hung out some and I went to a few of his events and then lost contact with him for awhile.  Then in 1991 my husband Mike went to work for UPS and told me about this great guy that he met and he wanted us to meet  him for dinner.  It was David. He was like a brother to me and my husband!!  Always there for us if we needed anything. I never saw him not smile. David,  you are family and we will miss you more than you’ll ever know. I will miss calling you every year on your birthday and singing happy birthday to you.  I will also miss you calling me every year on my birthday and singing happy birthday to me.  I Love you so much. May you Rest In Peace. ❤️

Words cannot express how much joy, excitement and laughter Jess brought to my life! He and Jessica were my second family and he quickly became fast friends but more like a brother with my dad! His light has always and will continue to shine bright! 



Jesse or as his Texas and UPS family call you by David, you were one of a kind. I’m so thankful that God brought you into my life. You always had a positive attitude and were always smiling. You treated everyone with respect, kindness and love. I will never forget the great times we all had together from watching you perform at magical events you meticulously planned, to our breakfast club and amazing Christmas parties and birthday celebrations to our crazy limo rides with the gang to check out Christmas lights just to name a few. I especially enjoyed celebrating your birthday in Vegas 4 years ago with you, your mother, Jessica and Anna Banana. Most of all your strong faith in God and belief in his power is an inspiration to us all. Rest In Peace my brother. I know you will be watching over us all. Love you bro!!

I met Jesse "Pappy" at Jessica's wedding in Arkansas.   Meeting him was like getting back together with an old friend because he made you feel that he cared about you instantly.   He smiled the entire time and I know he was proud to be your Dad Jess, I saw it in his eyes whenever he looked at you.  I am honored to have known him and he is singing in the greatest band of all in heaven.  God bless you Jess and the entire Valdez family .

Oh, Pappy! How full of life and love you were. You were the center of attention in all the best and fun ways. Your voice was a beautiful reflection of your personality - inviting, loud, and loving. My first and favorite memory of us together was when you took me to skate on the ice at the Galleria Mall. You bought me a maroon figure skating costume and I swear I wore it until it looked like a busted can of biscuits. It made me feel cool - you made me feel cool. I think your very presence made everyone feel cool. You loved my Auntie and filled a void in her heart. You were her friend, her father, and her favorite. You've certainly left a legacy of love and laughter. We will miss you but know you are at home with our Savior. All my love. Hannah
