He was born June 16, 1955, in Eureka and lived in Chino for 31 years.
He retired from California Institution for Men.
He loved to spend time with his girlfriend, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, cooking, helping others, and working on his 1950 “Road House” Chevy panel. He also enjoyed going to car shows and hanging out with “The Boys”, to show his car and cook for anyone and everyone.
Larry is survived by his father, Jerry Roy Strauss; girlfriend Vivian Comstock; children Elizabeth Cahill, Jerry Strauss, Felicia Comstock, Robert Comstock, David Comstock; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 sisters; 4 brother-in-laws; and many other family and friends.
A celebration of life memorial will be held from noon to 3 p.m. today (Oct 8) at 12287 Sonoma Court, Chino.
