Marilyn Kehoe Liston

August 19, 1932 – June 14, 2015

Marilyn Liston passed away on Sunday, surrounded by her three surviving children after a short illness. Born in Queens, New York, Marilyn was the youngest of four children.

Marilyn and Jim Liston were married for sixty years. They left New York and moved to California in 1962 where Marilyn and Jim raised their four children, Richard, Patrice, Deirdre and Christopher.

Marilyn completed her Bachelor’s Degree when the children were school age. She then went on to receive a Teachers credential and a Master’s Degree. She retired after many years as a special Education Teacher in the Norwalk - La Mirada school district.

Marilyn was a devoted grandmother to Kenneth, Stephen, Jonathan and Michael. Just prior to her death, Marilyn became the great grandmother to Cassidy June.

Marilyn and Jim enjoyed many years of world travel. They loved to host a yearly St. Patrick’s Day party with friends and relatives. A highlight was when the cousins from Ireland attended and sang Irish songs.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, by two months. Just as they were together in life since their teens, they are now together in Heaven, along with their youngest son, Christopher.
