

Othella graduated from Jefferson High School in Los Angeles Ca, and went on to graduate from UCLA. From there she went to the School of Radiological Technology, Homer G Phillips in St Louis, Mo. She met and married David Walton on June 24, 1951, in which one child (Deborah) was born to this union.
Othella was a resident of Los Angeles, Ca. for over 50 years. She had a successful and rewarding career as an X-ray Technician. One of her first jobs as an X-ray technician was at USC Medical Center. From there, she worked at UCLA Medical Center. Where she taught & helped to develop a curriculum for the X-ray Program. After retiring from UCLA Medical Center, she worked for Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles as an X-ray technician. Othella got her Real Estate License & went on to purchase & manage 3 apartment buildings in Los Angeles. Othella changed careers at the age of 60. She went to the Computer Learning Center of Los Angeles for Computerized Business Systems. That led to a managerial position with Ross Perot’s company EDS Systems. In the year 2002, she moved to Chino, Ca to be near her family. After settling in Chino, Othella did volunteer work at Chino Valley Medical Center. Her last place of residence was Seasons Senior Apartments in Chino, Ca. While a resident at Seasons, she participated in many activities and made new friends that she cherished dearly. She lived the remainder of her days at Seasons until she became ill and went home to be with the Lord.
Othella leaves to mourn her home-going a daughter; Deborah Walton Dodd and son-in-law Dennis Earl Dodd: grandson; Robert Lee Stewart Jr. 2 great grandchildren; Melanie & Dejah Stewart , aunt Gladys Rogers, cousins Ernest Collins & William Wrench and a host of beloved family & close friends too many to list by name.
