Rafael Martinez Valdez, 88, of Chino, passed away March 21, 2010 at Chino Valley Hospital. He was born October 6, 1921 in New Mexico. Rafael worked for Higgins Brick Company for 20 years and was a Chino resident for 60 years. Rafael is survived by his children Jennie, Frances, Roselia, Ernestine, Elias, Sam, Eddie and Jim; siblings Rafial, Tomas, Maria, Adelina, Celia, Lorenzo, Aurora, Gloria, Josie, Arturo, Emilio and Joe Jr. He was preceded in death by his brother Henry. Rafael is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Pierce Brothers Griffith Chapel, with Rosary at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, March 26, 2010 at the mortuary.
