He served our country in the Army Air Force in WWII as a Mechanical Supervisor over the Airplane Engine Mechanics. After the war he returned to Los Angeles where he meant his wife Edith. They new each other only 13 days, married on Easter Sunday in 1947 and were married for over 60 years before her passing in 2007. Together they enjoyed many years of traveling in their
5th wheel, square dancing, line dancing, ceramic chalk painting, attending church and the Senior Citizens Center in Chino and many other social events. Bob also loved hunting and fishing and even had a fishing boat he named “Fishin Fools”. Edith’s passing was very hard on Bob but he continued to keep active in their church (Chino United Methodist Church) and enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center in Chino. He had many friends from church, the Senior Citizens Center and in his mobile home park. He loved people and he loved life. He was a Meat Manager for Safeway for 39 years from 1948 to 1987.
