

Foukien Province, China on December 14, 1922. At the
age of 12, during the invasion of China by the communists,
his family migrated to the Philippines & settled in a small
town of Surigao City, Mindanao, where the family opened a
small business. His Filipino friends called him “Pensoy” &
his Chinese friends called him “Ngo Keh Chiao”. At the age
of 27, he married Sunte Yu. They were blessed with 10
children, 9 girls and 1 boy. Tan Lee was a Christian who
loved the Lord & always put God first in everything. He
taught all his children to love & trust the Lord. His faith was
very important to him. He also taught his children the
importance of prayer. Every night, all family members would
gather together for prayer, starting with the youngest daughter
and he ended with the final prayer. He was a good & responsible
father & husband, always acted as a role model to his children.
He was an honest businessman, kindhearted, generous, even
tempered, compassionate, charming, very caring & always focused
on harmony and peace. In 1988 Tan Lee and his wife migrated to
the USA & lived with his 6th daughter, Lisa. In 1989, his wife Sunte
passed away. Then he moved in with his only son, Along & stayed
for few years. In 1999, he moved in with his youngest daughter
Janette, where he stayed until his final days. He had been
healthy until the last couple of years. His eldest daughter, Soy Cho
then came to the U.S. from Taiwan to take care of him.
Tan Lee Chua is survived by: Daughters: Soy Cho, Rosa, Mila
(deceased), Sulpicia, Lisa, Grace, Pamela, Merlene, Janette;
Son: Hansing; Daughter-in-law: Juliet Ngo; Son-in-laws: Roy Menges
(deceased), Norman Johnson, John Dixon, Keith Willingham;
Grandchildren: Steven, Michael, Melissa, Jerrel, Janelle, Kyle;
Great Grandchildren: Thomas & Jackson
