Eldon Ray Miller

Eldon Ray Miller was born to Willie and Delmas Miller on August 5, 1944 and passed away on June 2, 2016 in Chowchilla, California where he was a resident for just over 71 years. He leaves behind many that love him and will miss him tremendously. In high school Eldon was on the wrestling team, he was an excellent wrestler. He was undefeated in the 155lb to unlimited weight division. He was also involved with the Future Farmers of America. He graduated in 1962. Eldon met Phyllis in February of 1964. They talked every day, fell in love, and were married on April 11, 1964. Eldon was a self-employed building contractor for over 40 years, he retired in 2011. Some of his hobbies included watching boxing and gardening. He would grow everything, fruit trees, vegetables, and flowers for his wife. He also loved to swim, hunt, camp, fish, raise game roosters, and he also enjoyed learning how to surf the internet. Eldon is preceded in death by his father Delmas Miller of Chowchilla, California and his sister Brenda Napier of Standford, Kentucky. He is survived by his mother Willie Miller of Chowchilla, CA; wife, Phyllis Miller of Chowchilla, CA; Children, Mark Miller of Chowchilla, CA, Cheryl Baker of Fresno, CA, Jason Miller of Fresno, CA and Melissa Miller of Chowchilla, CA; brother, Larry Golden of Stockton, CA and 3 grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Chowchilla Cemetery located at 23359 Road 14 ½ Chowchilla, CA 93610.
