Ms. Flossie was born on December 11, 1955 in Monroe, Louisiana to Deloise Ford and Jessie Lee Ford. She would spend her childhood in Monroe, LA then moved to Madera, CA at the age of 6 with her mother and 6 siblings. Where she would attend Dixieland Elementary and graduated from Madera High School. Deloise had 1 more daughter before remarrying to David Boyce where they had 2 children and added 6 more and we became a blended family. Ms. Flossie A.K.A Joy, Sapphire, or David, would come to work as a CNA, Substitute teacher, field labor worker, but majority of her late years would be spent as a homemaker. Her passion was music and having a beautiful singing voice. She loved fishing, dancing, being the life of the party, always singing and dancing with her many nieces and nephews, talking to her sisters and brothers. She had a big heart and loved easily.
Ms. Flossie is survived by her children Tony Williamson, Jamaal, Keisha, and Hassan Hedrington; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sisters Nancy Hubbard, Carrie Augustus, JoAnn Ford, Monica Smith, Linda Gaines, Stephanie Smith, Jennifer Balbas, Jackie Boyce, and Brenda Hamilton; brothers Frank, Benny, Vincent, Joseph Ford and David Boyce. She is preceded in death by her parents Jessie Ford, Deloise Boyce, and David Boyce, Siblings Jessie Ford, Cookie Boyce, Danny Boyce, Priscilla Hamilton and her 2 adorned children Barry Smith and Crystal Hedrington. Loved by many nieces, nephews, and cousins all whom are too many to name.
