Gary Pierce, born January 21, 1958, passed away on January 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, loyalty, and unconditional love for God and family. Gary was a God-fearing man who strove to live his life in the example of Jesus.
Known to many as “The Barbarian,” Gary earned that nickname through his fearless spirit and his instinct to protect those who could not protect themselves. He was a strong man who stood firm for what was right and never hesitated to defend his family—at any cost. Even at 68 years old, Gary was willing to stand his ground against anyone if it meant keeping the people he loved safe.
One of Gary’s most important roles in life was being a provider. His family never worried about where their next meal would come from, because Gary made sure, they were always taken care of. He worked hard, took pride in his work, and was well respected in his field for his dedication, skill, and integrity.
Gary had a way of making his family feel safe and untouchable. To them, he could defend against any monster and fix just about anything. No problem ever felt too big as long as Gary was there.
Gary served in the United States Navy, where he carried his values of discipline, courage, and commitment. His time in service shaped the man he became-resilient, honorable, and steadfast.
Despite his tough exterior, Gary was a big teddy bear at heart, especially when it came to his 11 grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, a proud father to his daughters Andrea, Hollie, and Ashely, and an adoring grandfather to his 11 grandchildren, who meant everything to him. His grandchildren were his joy, his pride, and the light of his life.
Gary was also known for asking any question that crossed his mind often at the most unexpected moments. His curiosity, honesty, and fearless approach to conversation sometimes made situations a little uncomfortable, but they always made them memorable. You never had to wonder what Gary was thinking—he’d just ask.
He is survived by his loving parents; his devoted wife, Michelle; his three daughters, Andrea (James), Hollie, and Ashley (Kevini); his two brothers; and his 11 grandchildren, who carry forward his memory with pride and affection.
Gary’s love was fierce, his loyalty unwavering, and his presence unforgettable. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his strength, his faith, his heart, and the way he loved his family without limits. He will be remembered not just for how strong he was, but for how deeply he cared and how fiercely he loved.
