

Marylee Price Davis, 81, passed away on Monday, February 2nd, 2026, in Merced, CA. Marylee was born on February 18th, 1944 in Madera, CA, to George and Alice (Hardin) Price. After graduating from Chowchilla High School in 1961, Marylee attended Fresno City College.
Marylee married Vernon Hiram Davis on November 25, 1964 in Madera.They had 3 children: Michael, Mark, and Matthew. After Vernon passed away in 1976, she married Marvin Tuffs in 1981.
Marylee helped to start the Lioness Club and was a past Secretary to the Lioness Club. She was also a member and officer of the Rebekahs. Marylee co-owned The Stationary Store, Madera County Insurance Services and was a Notary Public. Between 2000 and 2002 she was a park ranger for Zion National Park in Utah. She was a foster grandparent for the Fresno School District from 2020-2022.
Marylee loved being outdoors, sailing and owned a sailboat with her husband Marvin Tuffs. She enjoyed pottery, painting and was a phenomenal artist. She also had an affinity for cats and cherished many over the years. Marylee had many talents and was immensely proud of her many experiences and numerous accomplishments in life and will be dearly missed.
Marylee is survived by her brothers Ruben Price and Roy (Dorothy) Price, sons Michael (Priscilla) Davis, and Matthew (Candida) Davis, granddaughters Desirae (Cody) Thompson, Kristina Graham, Katherine (Quince) Landry and grandsons Jake, Tanner, Logan, Reece, and Shay Davis, and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Vernon Davis, son Mark Davis, her parents George and Alice Price, sisters Goldie Judd, Hazel Jarvis, Shirley Price, Lena Price, her brother George Price, and her former spouse Marvin Tuffs.
A Funeral Service will be held at Chowchilla District Cemetery, 23359 Rd 14 1/2, Chowchilla, California, on February 10, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
