Wayde came into this world on November 30, 1962, as the third of five children born to James and Nancy Stockton.
During his early years, Wayde moved around frequently with his family. Through all the challenges they faced, he built a close bond with his sister and three brothers and remained deeply connected to them throughout his life.
Growing up without much taught Wayde the value of hard work at a young age. That work ethic stayed with him throughout his life, and in later years he proudly passed those values on to others.
In 1985, Wayde became a father to his first daughter, Beth, followed by three more daughters, Candice, Amanda, and Sarah.
In 1990, he met the love of his life, Judy, along with her two children, Jeff and Lana. Together they built a life and raised 3 of his daughters in Chowchilla, California.
Wayde and Judy’s song is Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers and they danced to it every time they heard it.
He tried his hardest to raise his daughters to be his “toughest sons” and never missed a chance to rock out to Bohemian Rhapsody with them.
Wayde loved anything to do with cars and had an incredible ability to fix just about anything. He worked as a diesel truck mechanic for more than 30 years, spending the majority of that time with one company, a true reflection of his loyalty and dedication.
He also loved riding his motorcycle and found great joy in helping the kids work on their dirt bikes and watching them ride.
One of Wayde’s greatest joys in life was being a grandfather. He was the funnest grandpa, and each of his grandchildren held a special place in his heart. They will miss him dearly. He traveled to Wyoming and North Dakota to see his daughters and grandkids, as often as he could.
After retirement he enjoyed being home with his wife; they took care of each other. He enjoyed many rock concerts with his grandsons Nick and Seth and spent many hours with them creating incredible art out of scrap metal. He also enjoyed spending time bbq’ing with his wife, best friends and of course his “Favorite Son” Eric.
Wayde was humble, kind, selfless, and carried the warmest smile. He was silly, fun and the life of every party. He could make anyone laugh and had one of the kindest hearts imaginable.
He was a devoted husband and father. A proud grandpa. A caring brother and uncle. A loyal friend. Our world is far less bright without him in it, but the love, laughter, and lessons he gave will remain with all who knew him.
Wayde was an amazing man.
He is preceded in death by his parents James and Nancy Stockton and his brothers James Jr, Brian, Kelly Stockton, his son Jeff Dunigan, and his niece Karlee Ard.
Wayde is survived by his loving wife Judy Stockton, his sister Julie Fox, his children Beth Hutchings (Jeff), Amanda Stockton, Sarah Chapman, Candice Haddock (Ryan), Lana Weatherley, and his “Adopted” son Eric McWaters (Marissa).
He also leaves behind his Grandkids; Nick Stockton, Seth Stockton, Ariana Stockton, Eagan Morales, Brendyn Morales, Dana Frisk, Lavanda Stockton, Kaycee Hutchings, Wayde Stockton, Quinn Hutchings, Kathie Dunigan, January Dunigan, Kara Graham, James Chapman, Isla Chapman, Kaelyn Haddock, Eliana Haddock, Mercy Haddock, Isaiah Haddock, Elijah Haddock and Many beloved nieces and nephews. And his dear friends Ralph and Diane Hunt and Kenny and Debbie Pettitt.
