Mary Ellen Harrison-Reed

Mary was born on April 29, 1950 in Poca, West Virginia to the late Dorsel and Martha (Burdett) Scarberry. When Mary came to Ohio, she obtained her insurance license and worked at B&E Insurance and Elsea Inc. She managed their mobile home parks and served as Vice President of Elsea Inc until her retirement after 40 plus years of service. Mary was a member of the Community United Methodist church. She was very active in her church including being a member of the choir. She was an active member of the Circleville High School Band Boosters, serving as a board member of the Scholarship Fund.

Mary was mom and grandma. She loved spending time and spoiling her grandchildren. Mary loved gardening her flowers and working outside. She loved going to dinner with her friends. She loved going on adventures and traveling.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Lee Harrison and Harold Lloyd Reed; her son, Robert Lee Harrison II; and her siblings, Homer Scarberry, Lee Scarberry, Charles Scarberry, and Stella Kersey.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Susan Renee Kennedy and Pamela Gail (Tony) Creed; her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Harrison; her grandchildren, Garrott Harrison (Sydney) Kennedy, Anthony Takeo (Clarabelle) Creed, Peyton Alyia Creed, Gannon Lloyd Kennedy, Lindsay Reagan Harrison, Raylee Francosky and Alissa Francosky; her brother, Jimmy Scarberry; and many other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 10:00am to 12:00pm noon at Community United Methodist Church, 120 N Pickaway St, Circleville. A Funeral service will follow at 12:00pm. Mary will be laid to rest at Forest Cemetery.
