Paul is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Darlene Duehren; his loving children, Jillian Duehren (Jacob Pack), Justin (Samantha) Duehren, and Jessica Ward; and his cherished grandchildren, Ansley Duehren and Ethan Luke Jordan. He is also survived by his brother, Johann (Lin) Duren; nephew, Klaus (Marissa) Duren; great-nephews; many dear friends and coworkers; and his beloved furry companion, Jojo. He was preceded in death by his faithful pet, Woody.
Paul retired from Big Bear after 29 years of dedicated service as a Produce Manager and continued to work at Restaurant Depot in his retirement. He generously gave his time volunteering at the Laurelville Food Pantry twice a week, stocking shelves and delivering food to those in need.
He was a proud lifetime member of the National Street Machine Club, the Good Guys car club, and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Paul had a heart as big as his smile—always willing to lend a hand, fix what was broken (except a hole in the sky and a broken heart, as he would say), and brighten any room with his humor and kindness.
A true car enthusiast, Paul loved spending time at car shows, barrel races, and working on his cars with his family. He also had a passion for music, playing guitar and recording two songs of his own. Above all, Paul treasured time spent with his loved ones and lived a life full of laughter, generosity, and compassion.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Defenbaugh Wise Schoedinger from 10:30-12:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Circleville, OH, at 1 pm.
Paul’s legacy of love, kindness, and hard work will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
