Mrs. Betty Lou Johnson Wiley, 86, of Garner died Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Pruitt Health Hospice in Raleigh. She was born September 27, 1928 in Johnston County, daughter of the late Lonnie and Mary Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Theodore H. Wiley, Sr., two brothers, and four sisters.
Mrs. Wiley was employed with the Wake County School System as a Cafeteria Attendant where she was affectionately known as “Granny” and she was an avid bowler.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 8 at 2:00 P.M. in the McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel in Clayton with Pastor Troy Wiley officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
She is survived by four children, Ted Wiley, Jr. and wife Patsy, Joy Matthews and husband Dwight, Jerry Wiley and wife Christy, and Amy Corbin and husband Richard all of Raleigh, a brother, Ed Johnson of Selma, twelve grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 7 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at McLaurin Funeral Home.
