Mr. Bobby Eldridge Bledsoe, 80, of Clayton died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. He was born May 18, 1935 in Johnston County, son of the late Lattie James Bledsoe and Lina Champion Bledsoe. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Wayne Bledsoe a sister, Annie Bledsoe Ruth and a brother-in-law, Raymond Jackson.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 20 at 2:00 P.M. in the McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Hargis officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Rochelle Bledsoe, a son, Robert Charles Bledsoe of Raleigh, and three sisters, Audrey B. Norris and husband Vernon of Clayton, Mary B. Jackson of Smithfield, and Betty B. Dalton and husband Jerry of Clayton. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Bledsoe’s wife, Rochelle, expressed, “Loved and cherished, my true friend and loving husband”.
Arrangements are being handled by McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton.
