Bryan Douglas Jones

With the heaviest and most broken hearts, we announce the passing of Bryan Douglas Jones. He passed away with his sons, Brady and Kyan, and his best friend and former wife, Katie, by his side on Monday, January 6, 2025, from complications due to an infection.

Bryan was born in Raleigh, NC and grew up in Clayton where he graduated from Clayton High School. He was a loving father who bravely battled mental health challenges and addiction throughout his life. At his best he was a kind and loving man of great strength, always striving to be the best version of himself for his sons. Despite his struggles, Bryan cherished moments with his sons and found joy in eating home cooked foods, listening to music, and working as a mechanic. In his last weeks he showed an extreme determination and hope to make amends and rebuild relationships with his sons.

Bryan is preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Shanna Faith Jones. He is survived by his sons, Brady Douglas Jones, Kyan Thomas Jones, and Kaden Michael Jones, best friend, Katherine (Katie) Jones, chosen mother, Sherry Brady, and chosen sister, Michelle Carillet. He's also survived by 3 biological siblings, including older brother, Jeffrey Leon Jones, nephews and many cousins. Bryan will be laid to rest privately by the scattering of his remains in a private location by his favorite people. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to your local shelters and/or food bank in his memory.
