Carole Lois Schwartz

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Clayton, North Carolina of which she was a devoted member. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

One of five daughters, Carole was born on March 26, 1944, in Huron, South Dakota, to Robert and Lois Allen. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Sandra Flindt, Sylvia Ross, and Janice Allen; and her grandson, Nicholas Jones.

Carole was a graduate of Desmet High School and went on to enjoy a long career, retiring from SAS as an executive administrator. She found her greatest joy in her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved through shared arts and crafts, sewing projects, teaching archery and baking adventures. She delighted in working alongside her husband, Frank, in their aquatic nursery and fishing sinker businesses, in traveling (often with her self-proclaimed “favorite child”), and in endless laughter with her twin sister, Connie.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Franklin Lewis Schwartz; children, Tamara Jones of Smithfield, NC; Scott (Michelle) Schwartz of Clayton, NC; Chad (Michele) Schwartz of Wake Forest, NC; Lora (Howard) Scott of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Erika, Alyssa, Amanda, Nathan, Ainsley, MiKayla; great grandchildren, McKenna, Isla, Dahlia, Scarlett, and Journey; twin sister, Connie (Dennis) Schnabel of Mitchell, SD; and her beloved cat, Dakota.
