She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Reverend Dr. John Allen; sons William
Todd and John Thomas; granddaughter Lauren; nieces Shoshanna Richardson and husband Jeff;
Sherrie Cato and husband Rob; grandnieces Hannah and Sarra; grandnephews Casey and Cody;
and special friends Lisa and Richard Lee and their daughter Peyton, who was like a
granddaughter to Carolyn.
She was vivacious, animated, caring, funny, and a friend to so many. Her passing has left a void
that will not be filled this side of heaven.
A service to honor Carolyn’s memory will be held at First Baptist Church, Clayton, N.C. on
Monday, February 5, 2024, at 2 pm. The visitation at the church will begin prior to the service at
12:30 pm.
