Catherine "Katie" Eileen Vittum

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Catherine "Katie" Eileen Vittum, age 35, who passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

Katie was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Above all, she cherished her role as the mother of her son, Chase, and the bond they shared was truly special. Katie had a deep love for animals, and she dedicated much of her time to working with them. Her passion for animals was matched only by her appreciation for the simple joys in life—whether it was a quiet afternoon with family or laughter shared with friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Karl Tyler Vittum, her grandparents, and other dear family members.

Katie is survived by her beloved son, Chase; her mother, Irene Vittum; her sister, Kelly Vittum (Tony); her brother, Daniel Vittum (Amanda); her nephew, Theodore Vittum; her niece, Alexis Bouldin; her loving boyfriend, Brandan Stewart; her aunt and uncle, Don and Cindy Davis; her grandmother, Betty Cerrerto; as well as many other loving friends and family members.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton, NC, March 1st 2025 from 2 to 4 pm.

Katie's light may no longer shine here, but the love she gave will continue to echo in our hearts forever.
