Charles Ray Holland, 84, son of the late Johnny L. and Viola Phillips Holland passed away Wednesday March 8, 2017. Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Saturday in the Chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service from 2-3:00pm. Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Park. A native of Nash County, Mr. Holland is survived by his wife of 64 years Shirley Holland, daughters; Teresa “Terri” Morris (DB) and Sheila Parker (Howard), brother; Billy Holland, grandchildren; Holly R. Morris, Nathan W. Morris, Casey P. Myers (Brent), Jordan L. Parker, great grand-daughter; Isabel O. Medina, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Herbert, Cecil, Grady and John Holland, sisters; Frances Barbour, Agnes Bell and Daisybell Strickland. While flowers are accepted, memorial contributions may also be made to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Building Fund, 3000 E. Garner Rd. Raleigh, NC 27610.
