Colleen Briedge Juliana Pelella Gilmartin, age 69, of Clayton, North Carolina, formerly of Lynbrook & Oceanside, Long Island, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, North Carolina surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be scheduled at a later date.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 23, 1956 to the late Joseph E. Pelella and the late Nora Bridget Waters Pelella.
Colleen had worked as a personal lines insurance agent for Clancy & Clancy Brokerage of Garden City, New York, and the White and Re Agency in Freeport, New York.
Colleen was a big fan of British Mysteries and an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Dan Gilmartin; daughter, Jillian, Brendan; and her sister, Sheila Loliscio of Niskayuna, New York.
