Daniel Richard Marshall, went by Richard, and most of his life he was known by his nickname, Dick. After graduating from Nampa Idaho High School, he enlisted in the Air National Guard. After his honorable discharge in 1953, he began studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. While visiting one of their meetings, he met the woman who would soon become his wife. It was love at first sight. Dick married Jolene Medley on May 28, 1954. For 67 years Dick loved and cherished, his wife never leaving her side. He was a loving and supportive father to his two children, Dan and Torri. He worked hard and was a wonderful provider.
Of most importance, he set a wonderful example of a true Christian, husband and father. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he spent his life volunteering to teach people the Bible and lovingly shepherd his spiritual family. He served Jehovah God faithfully right up to the end. He is dearly loved by hundreds of people who had the privilege to know him and will be greatly missed. Dick had great confidence in the Bible’s promise of a resurrection. He eagerly awaited the day when he would see all his loved ones again and be restored to perfect health.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Jolene Medley Marshall; his son, Dan Marshall (Sally Marshall); and his daughter, Torri Marsh (Timothy); his sister Alice Eshelman; his grandson, Roman Marsh; and his granddaughter, Chloe Marsh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Verne Marshall and Cora Garrison Marshall; and sister, Shirley Ann Marshall.
