Dave was born in Denver, Colorado on December 8, 1968 to the late James Martinez and the late Eloise Borrego.
Dave spent his teen years in Cary, North Carolina. He attended both Apex and Cary High School. Dave would later return to Colorado to attend CU Boulder.
Dave had a deep love for art, music, and cooking. He was passionate about playing guitar and drawing. Dave was also an avid lover of cats, caring for many over his lifetime. It must be noted that he greatly enjoyed spending time with friends and neighbors. Dave is remembered as a kind and caring man who loved seeing others smile.
He is survived by his daughter, Marissa Martinez; cousins Cheryl Duran and Michael Borrego; and uncles Tommy and Joey Martinez.
