Diana Foster Harper

Diana Foster Marr Harper, age 75, of Clayton passed away on January 18, 2023.
Born in Meadville, Pennsylvania, on July 8, 1947, Diana grew up in Boone, North Carolina and was the youngest daughter of the late Herbert Spencer Foster and Blanche Miller Foster.
Her memorial service will be held Wednesday January 25th at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton at 2:00 pm with Rev. Donald Page officiating. She will be laid to rest at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 28th in Boone at Bethelview United Method Church near her parents. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 on Wednesday prior to the funeral service.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim Williams and husband, Jim of Smithfield, Susie Rambeaut and husband, Ken of Garner. Grandchildren: Sonny Aman, Lauren Parker, Hannah Hanes, Holly Hanes, Blake Rambeaut and Haden Hanes Step-grandchildren: Evan Williams and Hudson Williams. Great Grandchildren: Kaylen Parker, Raylan Aman Step Grandchildren: Tyler Butler, Eli Williams, Nora Williams, and Penelope Rinehart.
Diana’s family would also like to recognize Diana’s dear friend, Perry Jenkins, and his friendship to her over the last 10 years. She cherished his friendship and help that he provided to her.
Diana was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Foster Robinson and Bonnie Foster Greene and leaves behind 3 nieces and 3 nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Diana served as a Deputy Clerk in the Criminal Court of Wake County for many years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed serving her community and felt great empathy for those who found themselves on the wrong side of the judge’s gavel. She could always see the good in people when others might turn away. She had a very big heart and a giving nature to anyone in need.
Diana’s second career revolved around her many flea market booths and re-sale ventures throughout Wake and Johnston Counties. She held an auction on Main Street in Clayton for many years and always loved the action and friendships that came along with meeting new people. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family, and they all look forward to seeing her in heaven one day.
