CLAYTON – Doris Ann Jesen Matuszak, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at her residence.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, October 15, 2021 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends immediately following the committal at the cemetery.
She was born August 15, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Paul Jesen and the late Mary Hunter Jesen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Carl Jesen.
Doris enjoyed working with senior citizens in both New Jersey and in North Carolina. Her true love was spending time gardening (award winning roses), traveling (all over the world with her husband), spending time with her friends (loved playing Mahjong and trying new things), spending time with her two grandsons playing Lego’s, fishing or watching the Browns games and drinking beer with her son-in-law, Jason.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Casimir “Casey” Matuszak; two children, Michelle Alarcon (Jason) and Jeff Matuszak (Susan); loving grandmother of Porter Alarcon and Collin Matuszak; and sister to Joan Hovan; also survived by many loving family and friends.
