Frances Petriello

She was born in the Bronx, New York on July 1, 1947, the second of eight children, to the late Bernard Cocchiara and the late Frances Dinan Cocchiara. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved Gary Knibbs.

Fran and Gary loved taking long rides through the countryside, trips to the ocean, and spending time with grandchildren. She always had the nicest garden in the neighborhood. Fran had a knack for decorating and especially loved trips to HomeGoods. Once she moved to Clayton, NC, she especially enjoyed her weekly lunches with her sister Barbara Fitzgerald. We will all remember her lasagna and meatballs! Scrolling Facebook won’t be the same without her daily Wordle victory, posts of old family pictures, and her beautiful flowers.

She is survived by her three children, Erin Bowers (Peter Bowers), Kristen Petriello (David Gillett), and Joseph Petriello; grandchildren, James Pammer (Myah Pammer), Liam Pammer, Lucia Walsh, Madaline Gillett, and great grandson Theo Pammer; brothers and sisters, Barbara, Chrissy, Dee Dee, Rusty, Stephen, Michael, and Gina; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being made to Celebrate Her Life.
