George was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on July 20, 1928 to the late George Earl Lovering of Latrobe, Pennsylvania and the late Ethel Irene Dillon Lovering of Ligonier, Pennsylvania.
He served his country in the United States Army and then worked as a Federal Civil Service employee for 35 years. He worked many years at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. as a Cryptographer in the Communications department and then continued his career in Communications with the Federal Civil Service in Fort Huachuca, Arizonia until he retired.
George was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a compassionate, generous heart and he cared deeply for those who were in need. Being a quiet man, he never let on how many charities he supported, but there were many.
Left to cherish his memory are his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Karen Lovering of Clayton; his daughter, Lisa Lovering of Clayton; his granddaughter, Amber England, who he was always so extremely proud of, and Amber’s husband Billy England. George was also so blessed to have a precious great-granddaughter, Eleanor England, all of Smithfield. He is also survived by his brother, Lamont Lovering and sister-in-law, Ruby Lovering of California; his sister-in-law, Ruth Midyette of Bayboro, North Carolina, as well as many nieces and nephews.
George will be spending eternity with his beautiful wife and the love of his life for 64 years, Frances Muse Lovering who passed away in 2020, along with his mother and father, his sister, Jean Lovering, and many extended family members and friends.
