George Benton Parks

George Benton Parks, 78, son of the late Horace Lee and Ruth Smith Parks, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Carter.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl J. Parks; sons, Randy Parks, Dale Parks, James Parks and Kenneth Taylor; a sister, Sally Haydon; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home at 2:00pm with the family receiving friends from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
