Helen Tuttle

Helen Parrish Tuttle died peacefully on Saturday December 17, 2016. She was preceded in death by her late husband, John P. Tuttle Sr. to whom she was married for 53 years. Our mother was a loving and devoted wife, a very caring and giving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She retired from Hudson Belk, but her most important career was that of being a fulltime mother to three wonderful children. She was a member of the first Baptist Church in Clayton for over 65 years. She is survived by her daughters; Frances Coats of Coats, Donna Holder and her husband Charles of Raleigh, son; John Tuttle, Jr. and his wife Diana of Clayton, grandchildren; John Coats, Katie Stephenson, Terri O’Meara, Matt Tuttle, Evan Stallings and six great grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Tuesday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Mark White officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 at the church.
