Husel was born March 25, 1949 to the late Folden Wilford, Sr. and Ruby Thrower Lee. He graduated from Wilsons Mills High School in 1967. He would eventually build two successful trucking companies, Husel G. Lee Trucking, Inc. and LLL Trucking, Inc. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Clayton and very active at Crystal Coast Worship Center in Salter Path. More than anything, he loved his family.
Husel leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 50 years, Linda Lee Lee; son, Stephen Gray Lee; daughter in law, Tara; grandsons, Noah Phillip and Connor Gray Lee; siblings, Vickie Lee Beasley and husband, Mac, F. W. Lee, Jr. and wife, Rose, and David Michael Lee; brother in law, Jeffrey W. Lee and wife, Kim; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Dwayne Lee, brothers, Roger and Yarborough Lee, and a sister, Sharon Lee Smith.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at 3PM, at Bethesda Baptist Church, 4967 US 70 Business HWY W, Clayton, NC 27520. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:30-8:30pm at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US 70 Business HWY W, Clayton, NC 27520.
