Jean Worley Chappell, 78, passed away peacefully on Monday February 1, 2016. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Pastor Harold Mitchell officiating. She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Chappell of Smithfield, Dianne Chappell of Clayton, son, Donald Chappell of Florida, grandchildren, Amanda Biedekapp of Clayton, Heather Chappell of Fayetteville, AR, great grandchildren, Miranda Hardison, Matthew Biedekapp and Madison Biedekepp all of Clayton, her loving caregivers, Robin Brown, Darnell Williams, Allison Brown, Kelton Flores and Isisah Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Chappell. While flowers are accepted memorial contributions may be made to the SECU Hospice House, 426 Hospital Rd. Smithfield, NC 27577 or to the Alzheimer's Association Eastern NC 3739 National Drive, Suite 110, Raleigh, NC 27612. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at McLaurin Funeral Home and at other times at 11 Redding Ct. Smithfield, NC.
