A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
He was born on October 29, 1957 in Norwich, New York to the late John Leonard Kirby and the late Rosalie Mary Esgro Kirby.
John was a veteran of the United States Marines and most recently worked in construction. He enjoyed fishing, watching baseball and spending most of his days outdoors. He had a passion for bird watching, and tending to his garden. He was proud of growing pumpkins for his grandson for halloween.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Kirby and wife Yanery; grandchild, Lorenzo; sister, Carol Franklin.
