Kathleen Creech Evans

Kathleen Creech Evans the daughter of the late Calvin and Esther Hines Creech passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the age of 87. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Monday at the First Baptist Church, Clayton with Dr. Mark White officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. She was a retired teacher assistant with Johnston County Schools. Kathleen was also an active member of the First Baptist Church Clayton and had a strong love of her family and farm and most of all her Lord and faith. She was widely known for growing Zinnia flowers and sharing the seeds. She is survived by her daughters, Ginger Buffkin and her husband Tony of Charlotte, Jan Woodard and her husband Barry of Clayton, a sister; Julia Walker of Smithfield, grandchildren, Katie Buffkin, Callie Woodard and Evan Woodard. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Milton C. Evans, three brothers and 4 sisters. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00-7:00 pm at McLaurin Funeral Home.
