Lester "Pete" Rayford Bridges

Lester "Pete" Rayford Bridges, son of the late Raymond and Beatrice Bridges passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the age of 83. Mr. Bridges was born in Franklin County on April 30, 1937 and retired from the City of Raleigh as an inspector. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 2:00pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home and will be streamed live through the Facebook page of McLaurin Funeral Home. Burial follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Clayton.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn T. Bridges; sons, Greg Bridges (Dawn), Gary Bridges, Tony Van Bridges (Charlotte) and Ricky Bridges; Daughter Nancy White and her husband, Robbie; sisters Addie Jordan and Gwen Dupree; brother, Clarence Bridges; grandchildren, Lindsey Huggins and husband Greg, and Brittany White. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Penny and Doris Hillard; a brother, JW Bridges and a grandson, Justin White.
