Born on June 3,1957 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, he was the son of the late Dr. Jacques Lecorps and the late Marie André Denize Lecorps.
Philippe earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. He spent many years working as a Financial Comptroller for GB Group’s Huileries Haitiennes S.A. in Haiti. He married his college sweetheart, Florence Kénol, in 1982, and together they raised two sons.
Philippe cared deeply for his family. He was also a generous man who helped many to pursue an education and a career. He loved playing badminton with neighbors and colleagues, playing card games, like Monopoly, Go, and Bezique, and above all else spending time by the beach surrounded by family and friends. In his most recent years, he particularly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who affectionately called him Pipi. He played such an important role in all his family members lives and left them with beautiful memories.
Philippe is survived by his wife, Florence Kénol Lecorps; his children, Jean-Philippe Lecorps, and his wife Anissa Oriol, of Clayton, NC, and Dimitri Lecorps of Montreal, Canada. He was the grandfather of Gabriela and Liam Lecorps. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael Lecorps, and his wife Genevieve Lecorps, Patrick Lecorps, and his partner Karine Chenet, his sister Josiane Lubin, along with his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
