Lyde Days Ellis, 90, a retired auto mechanic of 35 years with O’Neal Motors in Raleigh, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Friday at Bethesda Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Burden officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Mr. Ellis, a recipient of the bronze star during the Korean War, is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy Ellis, his son; Terry Ellis and wife Sandy. While flowers are accepted, memorial contributions may also be made to: Bethesda Baptist Church, 4967 US Hwy 70 Business West, Clayton, NC 27520.
